Beekeeping and Pure Honey from the Local Farmer

I Wayan Sumadnya founded the native bee agrotourism of Baha Village, with full dedication and hard work to introduce local products of native honey from his own garden. Beside that, it inspires other local farmers to recover and build lives with the farmers. He breeds several kinds of local bees and produces unique honey from one of the stingless bees, we will see how they harvest it and taste some of the honey directly from its sources.

Highlight Activities :

  • Identify and learn about 2 types of locally processed honey, namely honey Kele-Kele and “Nyawan”
  • Study the cycle of bees, the nature of bees and the shape of the hive, and tqaste honey from normal bees and stingless bees
  • Learn and get to know the fermentation process of how flower nectar become honey
  • Learn some type of plant that bees like
  • Participate in a class of honey-based herbal concoctions
