In Pejaten, Bali, there is a local museum that is owned by local community. This museum presents various types of pottery and ceramics produced from Pejaten Village and from various parts of Indonesia. The name of the museum is the same guy who has made a major contribution to the development of ceramics in Pejaten Village, I Made Tanteri. He started in 1984 when he became acquainted with the pottery community in Pejaten village. At that time the Pejaten village, where most of the villagers were depending on the tile and pottery industry experienced difficulties in obtaining raw materials and they were looking for alternatice livelihoods. By doing this workshop, you will acquire knowledge about pottery as product and pettery as art by making your own pottery.
