Turtle Conservation & Mangrove Boat Ride

Mr. Komang and Anom’s father and their ancestors were turtle hunters, they sell turtle, and they eat turtle eggs and meat. Until in the nineties, their father couldn’t find any turtles anymore, and some activist came to the area to educate the community about the dangers of exploiting endangered animals. Because the turtle only lays eggs once every 25 years. And from 70 to 120 eggs only 1 turtle may survive. Also, the amount of plastic that turtles eat in the ocean decreases the turtle population. But now the community has already saved and released more than 500 thousand baby turtles and now lots of turtles are already coming back to lay eggs.
