Pak Nyoman is one of the local heroes that still preserves an ancient way of lontar manuscript writing, his skill was passed down from his grandfather who is actually a temple priest and has a collection of 90 pieces of lontar books at his house that contain lots of knowledge from healing, astrology, herbal medicine, ritual, spiritual awakening, old chanting, storytelling, and many more. Currently he works in a cultural department in a local government and focuses on helping a Balinese family that wants to protect and preserve the old lontar books from spoiling. Here we will have a chance to learn about how to write on lontar and hear his unique story from some lontar books and see some amazingly beautiful artwork that he’s working on
