Deep Culture Immersion
A 7-day deep culture immersion — learn dance, gamelan, wood carving, and traditional painting.
Plastic to Purpose
A transformative, hands-on experience where you turn your own travel waste into meaningful creations while discovering real actions to become a responsible, change-making traveler.
"We don't just talk about the impact of global waste; we sit down together, face the reality of what we consume, and actively invent the solutions of tomorrow."
The workshop begins with an eye-opening deep dive into how our everyday plastic travels the world. Through engaging visuals and energetic dialogue, we unravel the hidden stories of global waste.
But theory quickly meets reality during the Waste Reflection Circle. You will literally empty the waste you generated from your own travels onto the collaborative floor. Together in pairs, you decode its origin: Why was this waste generated? Could it have been avoided? What was its true product lifespan? It is a powerful exercise in accountability and shared realization.
Next, the focus tightens from the massive global view down to the microscopic level. You step into our interactive Mini-Lab to observe real environmental samples—sand, water, and fibers—directly through magnifying lenses.
Guided by expert facilitators, you will visually witness microplastic formation and colonization. The alarming realization of how these invisible dangers enter our bodies through food, water, and entire ecosystems sparks a profound internal question: "Where do microplastics end up in my own life?"
"The deepest truths about our environmental impact are often the ones too small to see with the naked eye."
Armed with new knowledge, the energy shifts to frantic, focused creation. For 40 immersive minutes, the workshop turns into an innovation incubator. Supported by facilitators, teams utilize reusable crafting tools to transform the very waste they brought into something entirely new.
Whether you choose to design an upcycled art piece, build a functional product prototype, construct an awareness storytelling installation, or sketch a concept solution to reduce waste at the source, the goal is circular thinking. Every creation must inherently tell a story of purpose and impact.
We conclude the intensive masterclass with a vibrant pitch session. Each creator stands before the room to present what waste they successfully transformed, the innovative solution they created, and most importantly, the specific sustainable behaviour change they commit to enacting tomorrow.
Surrounded by applause and feedback, the session culminates in a powerful Closing Ritual. As a synchronized group, we declare our finalized promises for the month, capturing a triumphant photo with our upcycled creations as a final, lasting reminder of our SDG 12 responsibilities.
