Overview

About this journey

Discover the cultural soul of West Bali through a two-day journey combining turtle conservation, local traditions, royal heritage, spirituality, and traditional Jegog music. Explore the local way of life in Negara through its market, temple, and royal palace, connect with the Royal Family, and experience the living traditions of Jembrana through Balinese architecture and hands-on Jegog music with local artisans.

Why we built it this way

Jembrana is the least visited regency in Bali, and this journey shows what people miss. It is built around people: the volunteers who protect turtle nests, the family who still lives in Puri Agung Negara, and Mangde’s household of artisans, where you shape a brick, try the loom and play bamboo instruments before sitting down to lunch together.
