Overview

About this journey

Bedugul: Roots of the Highlands is a two-day immersive journey into the natural, agricultural, and cultural heritage of Bali’s highlands. The program invites travelers to experience Bedugul beyond its scenic landscapes through hands-on farming activities, local family interaction, sustainable agriculture, spiritual forest exploration, and botanical discovery. From picking fresh strawberries and planting at an organic farm to connecting with local communities and sacred natural spaces, the journey offers an authentic perspective on the traditions, nature, and everyday life of Bedugul.

Why we built it this way

Bedugul sits above 1,200 metres and feels like a different Bali: cool air, cloud forest, vegetables instead of rice. This journey is hands in the soil. You pick, you ferment, you plant, you sleep at a glamping site in the highlands, and the next morning you walk a sacred forest before the botanic garden.
