The packages above are fixed and priced. These two collections are shorter experiences of a few hours, private and arranged with the host for your dates and group.
Two-to-five-hour experiences in Ubud and South Bali, led by the villages, artisans and families who live them.
A few hours inside the work of a local hero: a conservationist, a teacher, an artisan, an activist who is changing their community.
Your car, driver and guide cost roughly the same whether one or four people travel. Sharing them is what makes a group cheaper per head: solo travellers pay the most, and groups of up to 12 pay the least. Every journey stays private, we never merge bookings.
All experiences on the itinerary, a local English- and Indonesian-speaking guide, private transport for two days and the meals listed for the journey. Dinner is usually on your own so you can eat where you like; a few island and highland journeys include it. The hotel night, breakfast and travel insurance are not included: you can add a hotel room with breakfast as an option when you book, or stay where you like. Each journey lists exactly what is included.
From your hotel in Ubud, Sanur, Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua or Denpasar at no extra cost. For the Nusa Penida and Lembongan journeys we meet you at the harbour, and for the West Bali journey in Negara pickup can be arranged for an extra transfer fee. Other pickup points are possible on request.
Yes, and many guests do. North Bali and the Central Highlands link naturally; so do the East Bali journeys. Send us the ones you like and we will stitch them into one route with a single guide.
Full refund up to 7 days before, 50% at 3–6 days, no refund within 3 days. You can move your start date once for free up to 7 days before, subject to the host's availability.
